IP camera systems and access control, designed as part of your network rather than bolted onto it, with the recording and retention set up so it stands up to scrutiny.
Modern CCTV is a network product. The cameras are computers, the recorder is a computer, and both sit on the same infrastructure as everything else you run. Installed by someone who treats it as an alarm job, it ends up on a flat network with a default password and a port open to the internet.
We install it the way you would install anything else that matters: segmented off from the rest of the network, credentials that are not the factory ones, remote access done through something that is not a hole in the firewall, and documented so you know what you have.
What drives the cost
Quoted per site against a camera-by-camera design. The factors:
- How many cameras, and what each one needs to resolve.
- How long you need to keep footage - retention drives the storage, and storage is a real part of the cost.
- Whether cabling and power already reach the positions, or we are running them.
- Internal or external, and at what height - anything needing access equipment costs more to install and to maintain.
Fewer, better-placed cameras almost always beat more cheap ones. We would rather quote four that work than eight that produce unusable footage.

Specified for what you actually need to see. Reading a number plate, recognising a face and knowing somebody was there are three different cameras.
Recording that will be there later
Sized for the retention period you have decided on, with storage that is monitored rather than quietly failing for eight months.
Remote viewing done safely
Access from a phone without exposing the recorder to the open internet, which is how most CCTV systems end up on a public camera index.
Door entry and access control
Fobs, keypads or app-based entry, with a record of who went through which door and when, and leavers removed the same day.
Segmented from everything else
Cameras on their own VLAN, so a compromised camera is not a route into your file server.
The paperwork side
Signage, a retention period, and a note of who can view footage and why - the parts that get forgotten until somebody asks for a copy.
